Sorry I'm a bit late this week with my theme. It's been a crazy week with 3 Exams in school. Human Anatomy is killing me slowly but I know this hard work will all pay off once I'm a full SLP.

Doing the Farm theme is always fun. The kids would always love when I'd bring my Farm and animals. I know I've done a post for Playing with the Farm and animals but here is more to go with the the other theme activities. You can also use my printable Where Do the Animals Live? You can use just the Farm scene and animals if you want or use the others as well.
For Sensory Fun, you can take the farm animals and make them dirty in either real mud if you're so brave or you can make dirt with coco powder and water. It's safe if they eat it, but plan cocoa powder is bitter so they won't want to keep eating it. You can have a small mud bucket and then a water bucket to wash the dirty animals. You can work on saying "Dirty, muddy, yucky, wash, clean, all better."
You can continue with the dirty animals. You can take the pig shape and paint the mud on with paint. Or a paint or glue spots on the cow. Also working on saying "Dirty, muddy."
On Vooks I love to use "Colors on the Farm." On GetEpic, there are so many books about Farm animals. I've used "Barnyard Babies." I don't usually read all the words, my kids can't read so I just ask them what animal it is, count the babies.
You can play with your farm and animals outside in the grass. Or go see some farm animals if you live down by the farm. If you have petting zoo that's open maybe you can go see some animals in person.
Of course, you can work on labeling the animals and the animal sounds. Also work on words like "dirty, muddy, wet, clean, wash." Work on pretend play with words, "eat, sleep, on top, up." The possibilities are endless when you play on the farm.
Now I need to study some more Human Anatomy and count down until the end of the semester. Have a great week.
